| ○講義概要 |
This course is for students who have good English skills and enjoy watching films. You will learn how to analyse in depth three Australian films and be expected to write answers to questions and discuss these films in small groups. We will also learn about hot issues such as Australian censorship, celebrity status and Aboriginal representation in films; about famous Hollywood Australian stars and directors, some Australian idiom and colloquial used in films.We will practise study skills such as scanning, notetaking, paraphrasing, summarising, interviewing and writing a bibliography. You will do some research and give a short multimedia class presentation and write a computer-written short report on a topic about Australian cinema.The attendance rule will be strictly adhered to.

There are no set textbooks. We will use the library, the Internet and some handouts. YOu will need an English/English dictionary.
