| ○講義概要 |
| The first term will emphasize Stduy Skills and Research Skills, Skills covered will include outlining, Note taking, How to Focus a Topic.Research Wills will include how to use Reference works, How to make Citations of Reference works condulted, Bibliography and Proper Format. Study skills will also include vocabulary development anda study of word roots, origins and prefixes. Writing will begin with paragraph writing and work up to Report writing. We will cover Internet research and how to evaluate Internet sites. There will be 2 oral group presentations;one in the 1st term and 1 in the 2nd term. In the 2nd term a final research paper will be required. Students will present their paper to the class. There will also be some group discussions. |
| ○評価方法 |
| 出席状況(10%)、授業参画(10%)、レポート(30%) There will be summer homework in the form of a report which will be 10% of the grade. Oral group presentations - 30% Other research homework - 10% Class participation includes effort and attitude. |
