Intermediate English Composition
○講義概要
Intermediate English Composition is geared towards essay writing and designed to guide you through the process of developing a well-structured argument. You will learn how to write about the ideas of others, represent those ideas accurately, analyze those ideas, and incorporate them into your own arguments. You will work toward refining your own essay-writing skills through the development of concise and persuasive arguments, while also taking the time to summarize and critique classmates’ essays. Response to the work of others will be welcomed in a classroom environment that encourages students to speak freely, although respectfully, without the fear of personal attack or harassment.
○評価方法
出席状況(10%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(20%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)、小テスト等(40%)
All late homework will lose one letter grade for every day it is late. Missing more than 6 classes will result in automatic failure of the class.
