| ○講義概要 |
This course considers works representative of the history of Japanese art. It introduces selected works from the seventh through nineteenth centuries, spanning the pre-modern period. Discussion focuses on the subjects of works, including examination of how concepts were translated into visual forms as well as the socio-cultural functions of the objects. Students should gain a better understanding of Japanese art and basic information that will prepare them for further study in the field of art history.
