○講義概要
Students will improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills by exploring their own language acquisition process. In the beginning of the course, students will do a self-assessment using the Foreign Language Oral Skills Evaluation Matrix (FLOSEM) and develop a year-long plan for improving their proficiency. By the end of the course students will assess themselves again noting their improvements and areas that they still need to work on. In addition to self-designed work, students will participate in skits, role plays, and research projects. Topics such as social issues, job hunting and careers, cross cultural issues, study abroad, learning styles, movies and songs will be the stage for communication and interaction in small group and individual projects.

出席状況、授業参画、リアクションペーパー、レポート、小テスト等
Students will be evaluated on class participation, quizzes, homework, in class assignments, presentations and a final project. Active participation and excellent attendance are expected in this course and will affect the grade students earn.
