English Composition I

| ○講義概要 |
This course will focus on the importance of prewriting, writing and revision as students compose papers on topics of interest, both personal and academic. Peer editing, class discussion and revision will help students learn how to improve their English writing skills. Assignments will begin with sentences and short paragraphs and build to essay writing. Students will learn techniques to write clear, coherent short papers. Students will be expected to keep a journal.

Students will be evaluated on the quality of research, cooperation with group members and presentation skills. Active participation and excellent attendance are expected in this course and will affect the grade students earn.
