Translating short fiction and essays.
○講義概要
We shall practice translating a variety of material from English to Japanese. Having worked toward a correct translation of a complete story or article, we shall go on to polish the translation so that it becomes a true literary equivalent of the original. We shall review our experience self-consciously to become aware of the different challenges we have faced and learn how to deal with them.
○評価方法
リアクションペーパー(30%)、前期学期末試験(授業期間中)(30%)、後期学期末試験(授業期間中)(40%)
