The purpose of this course is to integrate and develop students’ English and academic skills to an advanced level.

| ○講義概要 |
We will start by discussing in groups the basics needed to be competent at communication, writing and study, but we’ll look at them from a new perspective regarding the thought processes involved. Students will be expected to hand in an essay related to these discussions. This
course also uses technology as an aid in language learning so approximately half of our classes will be held in the computer room. Students will make presentations using PowerPoint. The course ends with a major academic research paper.
