| ○講義概要 |
This class will be on a topic in which you are an expert: learning a second language. First, we will explore your experiences and ideas about this interesting field and then you will present them to your classmates. This will help you learn how to express your ideas clearly to small groups of people. Next, you will read about how people learn first and second languages. This will give you practice in improving your general reading skills while you respond critically to what you read. By this time, you will be developing your own ideas about second language learning. Working individually and as part of a group. you will begin testing your ideas by carrying out surveys and mini-research projects. The course will culminate with you presenting your findings about how people learn second languages to the entire class.
