| ○講義概要 |
| The first term will emphasize Reseach Skills and study Skills.Skills covered will include outlining,Note-taking,How to Narrow and Focus a Topic,How to do Citations,Bibliographies and Formating,and using Reference works.Writing work will start with paragraph writing skills and work up to Report writing We will also cover Internet research and how to evaluate Internet sites.In the first term,there will be 2 Oral Presentations that involve outside research and visual aids. In the 2nd term,a final research paper will be required.The 2nd term will continue research skills Wote-taking combined with Listening and Footnotes.We will do at least 1 Oral Presentation and Speeches in small groups and in front of the class, students will also practice Discussion Skills in small groups. |

| 出席状況(10%)、授業参画(10%)、レポート(40%) Class participation includes atlitude. Presentations-total of 30% Research Homeworlk-10% There will be summer homework |
