On June 13, President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu of the Republic of Kosovo visited Sophia University and de-livered a special lecture to students. The 2025 UK-based higher educa-tion magazine Times Higher Education ranked Sophia University 75th globally out of 1,089 institutions in the “SDG 13: Climate Action” category.The recognition reflects Sophia’s wide-ranging efforts to address environmental challenges such as climate change, including expansion of educational programs and near-complete use of renew-able energy across all campuses, as part of its broader commitment to campus carbon neutrality.In its strengthened SDG initiatives, Sophia University established the Office for the Promo-tion of Diversity and Sustainability and introduced a student staff system to foster responsible action as global citizens on the part of every member of the uni-versity community.
