Sophia University held its 23rd “United Nations Weeks” from June 10th to 24th, offering a diverse program of events addressing global themes such as peacebuilding, refugee issues, and international career development. Highlights of the 2025 program included a sympo-sium with JICA President Akihiko Tanaka on peacebuilding and human security, a panel on immigration involving the multidisciplinary perspectives of politics, economics, law, and business, and career workshops for those aspiring to work in international organizations.The program also featured a screening of the documentary ¡Viva Maestro! about world-renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel.
