9From CampusFrom November 22 to 24, Sophia University hosted the 2024 IAU International Conference themed “University Values in a Changing World.” The speakers and audience members, attending from all around the world, exchanged views on addressing global challenges, including climate change, in-equality, and political polarization.The IAU conference, hosted by Sophia University from November 22 to 24, 2024 was organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU), a membership-based organization serving the global higher educational community under the auspices of UNESCO. In the context of global-scale challenges, and the heightened complexity and uncertainty of our time, higher educational in-stitutions must constantly explore how the education they pro-vide can positively impact society. Nearly 320 participants from around 80 countries and regions, many representing higher ed-ucational institutions, gathered to gain insight on navigating broad-ranging topics, including academic integrity, technology, global collaboration and global challenges.
