It still remains one of the most influential congregations in the Catholic Church. Fr. Adolfo Nico-lás, the 30th Superior General of the Society of Jesus, has a deep connection with Sophia University and its people, forged through both his academic and social life over a period totaling around 35 years. After serving in a number of important positions in the Society of Jesus, he is now back in what he considers his second home country.
