This course is designed to invite students to the study of religion as an academic discipline. The course is not a general survey of major religions of the world, but rather an examination of important themes and issues in religion from a comparative perspective. While trying to maintain their neutrality and objectivity, students are expected to develop empathetic as well as critical understanding of what we call “religion.” | |
