講義概要 ／Course description	Introduction to the modern and contemporary cannon of Western political thought, with a focus on liberty and its limits.  The course covers the following topics: Utilitarianism and Kantianism (Bentham, Kant, and J.S. Mill); Liberal Justice (Rawls and Nozick); Liberty (Berlin); Communitarianism (MacIntyre and Walzer); Nationalism (Renan); and other critics of Liberalism (Conservatism [Oakeshott], Marxism [Cohen], Foucault, and Feminism).
