講義概要 ／Course description	In this course students will a) become familiar with a handful of the major literary works from the Meiji, Taishō, and Shōwa periods, b) develop critical reading skills, c) increase their knowledge about modern Japanese (and world) culture, history, and literature, and d) grow accustomed to expressing their ideas in a class discussion setting.
