/Course description
This course offers an introduction to the appreciation and the analysis of prose fiction and poetry in English.  It provides students with basic tools for literary analysis to appreciate, discuss and write about literary texts.  All readings are in English and most of literary examples are taken from British and American literature.  Along with LIT 202, “Introduction to the Performing Arts,” this course is designed as a starting point for further literary studies at the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Sophia University.
