| 講義概要 ／Course description |
In this course, we have two main objectives. First objective is to obtain introductory knowledge of the Japanese economy. We learn background of the Japanese economy from both historical and institutional perspectives. Second (and perhaps more important) objective is to obtain a skill to apply basic economic theory to analyze the various issues in the Japanese economy. I do not want this course to be just a description of chronological set of facts in the Japanese economy. I would like to help you to use economic theory as a tool to think about the underlying mechanism throughout this course. | |||
