The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the art and craft of public speaking. The focus will be on developing the confidence to speak extemporaneously -- with preparation in the the form of an outline or notes but without memorization. Although this speaking style might seem uncomfortable, even frightening at first, with practice it allows for a more natural, communicative speaking style. | |||
