その他／Others(in detail) ：Assessment: You must deliver at least six speeches to pass this class. Three will be major speeches, the rest less formal.
Grades will be based on the following:
Speech 1: Informative (10 min.) 15%
Speech 2: Persuasive 1 (14 min.): 25%
Speech 3: Persuasive 2 (10-14 min.) 30%
Class Participation, Peer Feedback, quizzes, written work, short speeches: 30%
(Note: Outlines, citations and research are the scaffolding of your speech and will be graded accordingly).
Attendance is required in order to receive credit for class. You are allowed only three absences (for any reason) during the semester. Each absence after that will result in a ½ final grade-point deduction. Missed speech days or failure to be prepared for a speech will be marked as ‘F’. Your grade is also derived from your active participation. That is, you must not only physically come to class, but also must be prepared and participate actively in all classwork to receive full credit for the course. Lateness, persistent tardiness will not be long tolerated. NOTE: It is entirely possible to attend all classes and still fail, if your participation is inadequate. Don’t let that happen!
