講義概要 /Course description |
This course will allow students to further develop their writing skills and advance them into more complex structures for academic purposes. Perspectives on the way genre and rhetoric unify individual and community activity will be applied in order to better understand English use through meaning and to build appropriate language structures. The five Functional Linguistics perspectives of academic writing: narrative, argument, dialogue, metaphor and temporality, will be the basic structure for this course. All students will keep a weekly learning journal that will be exchanged with peers and submitted at various times throughout the semester. |
