To Researchers not affiliated with Sophia University

Sophia University Library is not open to the public except for our EU document center.
Researchers are kindly requested to avoid directly inquiring about holdings or availability of materials of this library. They are expected to consult the library of the institution they are affiliated with. If they are not affiliated with any institution, they should contact a public library. If some materials not held by public libraries or by the National Diet Library can be found at Sophia, researchers may ask their library to issue a letter of introduction to visit us. On presentation of that letter and their ID at our reference desk, researchers will be given a "one day user's pass". Please note that a letter of introduction is accepted only during the service hours of reference desk, and also that the materials specified may not always be available when those researchers visit here.
If researchers wish to use our library often, they may apply for the status of "Friends of Sophia University Library".

To librarians
Please search National Diet Library(NDL OPAC) and NacsisWebcat first before contacting us. Please search our OPAC and check the holdings and status data before issuing a letter of introduction. If you have questions in this matter, please contact our reference desk by fax(03-3238-3114).
