Next Generation Accreditation Mark KURUMIN The words on the logo say, “We support Childcare” with “2012 Next Generation Certification Seal” inscribed below.
Sophia School Corporation was granted the next generation accreditation mark “KURUMIN” by Tokyo Labor Bureau, dated September 7, 2012. This logo indicates our school has been acknowledged as a general business owner that has continued to meet the accreditation standard based on the Next Generation Nurturing Support Measures Promotion Law.
Over recent years Sophia School Corporation has supported the idea of promoting a good work-life balance for both faculty and staff members. The Corporation is continuously looking at ways to provide a diverse workplace that can bring out the greatest asset of the people working for them. In a word, they aim to create a working environment in which everyone can concentrate in what he/she does and thereby become proficient at one’s given skills.
The second phase of “Sophia School Corporation General Business Owner Actions Plans” which spanned over the period from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2012, included revision of the childcare and family care support system; strengthening of child and family care awareness; promotion of maternity leave，childcare leave, nursing care leave for the faculty members.
Our enthusiastic participation in the action plans and our countless efforts to achieve our goals have been acknowledged and brought us the honor of receiving the “KURUMIN.”
On the third phase of our action plans that began on April 1, 2012 and ends on March 31, 2015, we will take all the necessary measures to promote gender equality in the workplace.
