Sophia School Corporation expresses our joy for the election of the new Holy Father, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, S.J. who will be known as Pope Francis, on March 13, 7:05 pm (March 14, 3:05am Japanese time). Pope Francis was ordained in the Society of Jesus and this is the election of the first Jesuit pontiff to head the Roman Catholic Church.
The news of the new Holy Father came to us with great happiness and made all the deeper because we are the Jesuit institution of higher education.
