Sophia Winter School 2013 was held from January 21 to 29

A lecture by Mr. Iida of ISEP

Sophia Winter School is a short term program for Chinese students enrolled in universities in China. This program started last year with an aim to help them gain wider perspective and deeper understanding of Japan. This program is also an attempt to provide access to strengthening our globalization activities. This year 42 students from 15 universities attended the program that took place from January 21 to 29.

The two-part curriculum consisted of courses that taught Japanese language and those that gave an overview of contemporary Japanese situation. All the lectures were given in Japanese. The language course was held in two levels with a goal to enable students to learn skills for simple everyday communication, such as, making a good first impression or making a proposal.
