
This is the follow-up information on university services and campus use after Thursday, March 24th in response to the effects of the planned-power outage in Tokyo areas caused by the large earthquakes on Friday, March 11.
Until Tuesday, March 29th, we ask all students of Sophia University to ensure their safety by staying at home or other safe places. To avoid any danger, students are advised not to come to the university campus from March 24-29 (tentative) unless you have an urgent matter. In case you need to come to campus under unavoidable circumstances (such as for the issuance of the certificates), it is required to stop by at the security booth at the Main Gate (Seimon) for entrance.
・All club activities on the campus (including Hadano campus) will be suspended. Students are also requested to refrain from having the club activities off-campus.
・University facilities such as the library and computer labs will be closed.
・Cafeterias and the bookstore will be closed.
・ Please note that academic guidances and classes after Wednesday, March 30th will be conducted as previously scheduled. If there is any change in university-wide academic calendar such classes and the alike, it will be announced through the university website.
・ Also please note that any change regarding various guidances held by the departments or graduate programs, schedule of specific events will be announced through Loyola. Students are kindly asked to check Loyola too.
