Sophia University offers our sincere condolence for the tragic loss of life as a consequence of the earthquake in Christchurch area.
After the large-scale earthquake in the southern part of New Zealand on Tuesday, February 22nd JST, Sophia University confirmed the safety of the students studying in the University of Auckland. (Short-term language program participants: 29, exchange program student: 1, studying abroad on leave: 1).
However, there may have been other faculty/students who were in New Zealand at the time of the earthquake. Please contact the office below in case you have any information about the students/faculty members.
