Applicants who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education before entering Sophia University.
In addition to the above, applicants from foreign educational systems should meet the following criteria or should have taken the following examinations:

Sophia University accepts applications from students of foreign schools in Japan designated by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, who will reach the age of 18 at the time of entrance to Sophia.
