Japanese-taught Programs

Bachelor's degree program

Sophia accepts international students to the Japanese-taught programs once a year, in April.
An on-campus exam and interview (conducted primarily in Japanese) are held in November for admission.
Applicants are also required to sit for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) before the exam.

Admission procedures for International students (in Japanese)

Non-degree program: Japanese Intensive Track B (日本語集中講座B)

This program is designed for Chinese character users and Asian students who would like to take Japanese Language Intensive Program (JLIP). In this program, classes meet for three hours a day (9:15 to 12:30) from Monday through Friday.
