SOPHIA UNIVERSITY SUMMER SESSION 2012 HOUSING INFORMATION

Cost: 150,150 yen (with free breakfast) (7/25 in - 8/16 out)

(B) : Two in a room at Hotel Asia Center of Japan (with another participant)
Cost: 138,600 yen (with free breakfast) (7/25 in - 8/16 out)

Regarding the Hotel Accommodations / Cancellation policy

Students will be placed in rooms in the order their applications / requests are received. If there is odd number of applicants for shared rooms, the last applicants may have to pay an additional charge for a single room. The above hotels will provide bed sheets and towels. Our cooperation with the hotels obliges us to follow their rules concerning payment. Therefore, full payment should be made by the end of June to Sophia University. No loss if cancellation is done before June 30; after that date there will be cancellation charge.

JTB, a reputable travel agency, arranges home-stays with Japanese host families. A home-stay offers you the opportunity to spend time with a typical Japanese family and learn firsthand about the local culture and everyday customs. Please note that it takes at least one month for JTB to determine whether they can or cannot find a suitable match. Because of the possibility that a host family is unavailable, we highly recommend that those wishing to participate in this program submit application documents to JTB no later than Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

Cell Phone Rental Information: PicCell Wireless

PicCell Wireless will provide the cell phone rental service. A rental phone is available either in students’ own countries prior to their arrival to Japan or at the campus on the Orientation Day upon their arrival. Meals

There is a cafeteria on the Yotsuya campus serving lunch. There are also restaurants (Japanese, Chinese, French, Italian, etc.) of all prices ranges near campus. Average cost of breakfast 500 yen, lunch 800 yen, dinner 1,000 - 2,000 yen.

Insurance

Health and travel insurance should be purchased before coming to Japan.
