| Faculty of Economics |

The departments of Economics and Management in the Faculty of Economics give the students a solid basis for their field in core courses in their first two years. Small numbers in second and third year seminars enable students to acquire theoretical and practical aspects of their subjects. Students select seminar subjects to fit the broad range of their individual interests (even across department divisions).
Required courses include information analysis in the first year and English for economics and management to support the acquisition and communication of professional knowledge that students will need later in the adult world of the global information society.   |
| Department of Economics |

The department of economics aims to provide students with a solid foundation in micro- and macroeconomics. The goal is to enable students to pursue careers in business, domestic or international civil service, and in higher academic research and teaching. The program balances acquisition of basic skills in computing, statistics and English with studies in economic history. It also teaches students to apply the theories they learn to practical issues in such fields as the environment, international trade, the poverty of developing countries, labor markets, and industrial organization. A wide election of intensive undergraduate seminars fosters active student participation in formulating economic questions, in gathering and evaluating relevant data, in debating the causes and consequences of these issues, and in proposing policy improvements.   |
| Department of Management |
